Traveling with Pets to Guatemala
- Recent vaccination certificate by the Veterinarian authorized by CFIA
- International Health Certificate signed by the veterinarian and authorized by the Health Animal Branch of Agriculture Canada.
- All Documents must be original. Photocopies will not be accepted.
- The Documents must be legalized by the nearest Consular Section. Only those documents that comply with these requirements will be legalized.
- In order to return the documents please include a prepaid, self-addressed registered envelope or courier service account ( please note that FEDEX is not accepted as a courier to be use for these or other dealings),
- The cost of the legalization is $10.00 USD. We only accept money orders to the name of the Embassy of Guatemala.
IMPORTANT:
- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency provides and International Health Certificate Form for Dogs and Cats which your veterinarian can fill out. The form can be downloaded at the following site http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/index/ahsae.shtml.
- The validity period for the documentation is of 15 days from the day issued .
